Media Office
The UNSW Media and Communications Office is responsible for the University’s external and internal communications.
Staffed by a team of highly experienced journalists, the Office focuses on promoting newsworthy research and other
achievements of the University, in both domestic and international media.
The Office is also responsible for the University’s key corporate publications, internal communications and the UNSW website.

- Promoting research and other key activities of the University through mainstream and specialist media
- Responding to media queries, including requests for expert comment.
- Providing media advice and training to senior executives, Deans, heads of school and individual academics.
- The media experts database of close to 2000 academics who can provide expert comment on a range of issues.
- Corporate publications, including Research@UNSW, the UNSW Annual Report and the University’s flagship publication, Uniken.
- News stories on the UNSW homepage and content for the corporate website.
- Internal communications including news@unsw, a fortnightly online newspaper for staff.
- Video production for news and research stories across the University. Visit UNSW’s YouTube channel to view these videos.
